Scarlett Forever

I never properly listened to the debut album of Scarlett Johansson, "Anywhere I Lay My Head," until today and I'm not really sure why.
Her songs have a lovely dark eighties, slow-vibe sound to them - whilst her voice is subtley haunting yet beautiful leaving you with a sweet aroma as though awaking in the forrest beneath a small pile of bramble and leaves: alone and safe.

Listen to her sounds here.

Romance Was Born

Romance Was Born is the imaginative creative duo Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales who are home-grown from Australia. Beauty, tongue-in-cheek humour and a sense of charm with a whimsical nature are only some of the fun things that make this label so lovable.
(P.S: They famously turned down intern positions with designer Galliano!!!).

Going far beyond the expected, their eclectic mix of fashion quirks detail the sweet memories of a past love affair, intertwining the nostalgic bedtime stories that one was read to as a child and telepathically connect to the images of futuristic fashion.

Do go check their wondrous website here.

Vice magazine takes L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Week out into daylight.

Okay, so Vice magazine is possibly the biggest, most abruptly outspoken magazine in Australia (that I know of) with high potential to offend almost anyone at some point with their pranks + jokes & critiquing. As crude as they usually are, they probably should get a medal for some of their courageous feats - (that actually can make a person laugh out loud when at a computer at university, when they really should be immersed in their research on tiger-snakes in the Amazon). Take for example Vice's experiment on this week's Melbourne L'oreal Fashion Week (which kicked off on Sunday). Their scientific aim was to take "a few of our favourite looks from last year’s festival and hit the streets to see whether we could find evidence of the catwalk on the sidewalk." Check out their investigative report here.

I know I'm still laughing.
